Flash Dash Challenge: Flash Fiction by Raven J. Demers
Flash Dash Challenge was born out of a desire to do something during NanoWriMo besides write a novel. I have written a handful of novels all requiring editing, and as I plug away at revisions in hopes of publication, I tend to lose momentum because editing is not the same as creating a new story. At least it doesn’t feel the same.
In 2014, when my friends were churning out novels, I turned instead to flash fiction. I challenged myself to write one flash fiction piece a day. While I didn’t meet the quota, I did churn out about a dozen new short stories, some of which I quite enjoyed.
